Falling Off the Edge

4 years ago, when I first attempted to summit South Sister, I chickened out on the last mile and satyed @ the glacier and Tear Drop Lake waiting for the others because of my fear of heights. It was pretty lame, but I was legitimately freaked out.

About 1/6 miles in

Going straight up

The last mile

So, 4 years (almost to the day!) later, I am tempting fate and trying again. I am still nervous about the whole heights thing, though I have gotten much better. So, you will not hear from me until Monday in which time I will relay to you the success or failure of this latest adventure!

Wish me luck or say a little prayer…here we go!!!
