Row, row your boat!

Are you bored with conventional cardio sessions on the treadmill or ellipcitcal? Are you tired of pedaling and climbing your way toward high calorie counts?? Spice up your cardio and strap yourself into the rowing machine!! Rowing does amazing things for your cardiovascular system- you will be gasping for air soon enough!! Your arms, shoulders, back and legs all get an amazing workout all while you sit on your little bum! It’s quite magical (if you use your imagination to pretend you’re on a lake or river).

Try this: 5 minute warm up @ 300-400 cals/hr. Then, do 1 min staying over 700 cals/hr. After that, go back to about 500 cal/hr for 2 minutes  and repeat. This rowing interval will tucker you out after 10-15 minutes. Make sure you get a 3-5 min cooldown in there at your same warm up speed. Give it a spin, you may discover a new favorite!
