Nothing has challenged me more than doing a Ride class at the gym. It sounds simple: 1) sit on bike. 2) pedal. Tada!! But there is so much more to it than that!! There’s different positions including seated and standing, heavy and light resistance loads, fast and slow paced cadence, intervals and spin tracks- whew! At first, it can be very intimidating, I agree. However, if you can stick with it through the butt burn from the itty bitty seat ( I promise it goes away after a little while), survive the burning in your quads, the gasping for air on the final climb track- I can promise you unparalelled results. 45 minutes of hard work can result in as much as a 500 calorie burn!! Beat that eliptical!
